Service providers

These companies help us run SI Pets. Each handles data only for the job listed, on our instructions. The privacy page explains what stays on your Mac and what is sent.

Running the service

• Cloudflare: hosts this website, the downloads and our servers, and runs the bot check on our forms. Sees the IP address of each request.
• Hetzner: a server of ours that keeps the backup copies of the Friends database and checks that our services are up.
• Resend: sends the emails you ask for.
• Turnstile: the bot check on our email forms, run by Cloudflare.

Payments and purchases

• Apple: App Store purchases, Apple Weather, and your own iCloud Drive.
• Polar: our payment provider. It sells website purchases as merchant of record, and issues the license key.

Live features

These receive only the public question we ask, such as a league, a flight number and date, a tracking number or a currency. They never receive who asked.

• football-data.org and API-Sports: scores and tables.
• AeroDataBox: flight status.
• 17TRACK and Ship24: parcel status, for SI Pets Plus. They keep the tracking numbers they are asked about under their own privacy policies.
• ExchangeRate-API: exchange rates.
• Apple Weather: the weather heads-up.
• Public status pages: the public status pages of the services in Service status. Our server reads them like any visitor, and they never see you.

Outside your country

Some of these providers are in the United States or elsewhere. Where the law requires it, the transfer is covered by standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
